FOSMI to hold interactive session on VAT, sales tax

Kolkata, Sept 30 (KNN) The Federation of small and medium industries (FOSMI) is organizing an interactive session on VAT and sales tax for its members on October-3.
Resource person for the event is Joint Commissioner, Directorate of Commercial Taxes, Government of West Bengal.
Various issues including clarifications by the industry on different circulars and rules of the sales tax department are likely to be discussed at the meeting.
Lack of awareness and complicated rules have come in the way of small business units and traders; hence this meeting will help keep them abreast of the latest in the vat regime. (KNN/ES)
