FRI to organise training-cum-workshop on essential oil, perfumery & aromatherapy

Dehradun, May 19 (KNN)  To enable entrepreneurs to explore new business opportunities, the Forest Research Institute is organising a residential training cum workshop on essential oil, perfumery and aromatherapy here.
 
The main objective of the specially designed residential training-cum-workshop programme is to promote of use of essential oils, aromatherapy, fragrance and flavour industries in the MSME sector. 
 
The workshop is scheduled to be held from June-9 to 13. 
 
An autonomous body under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre is engaged in serving, promoting and developing Indian MSMEs in the field of essential oils, fragrances and flavours and associated farmers.
 
It implements various activities, such as, cultivation, distillation of aromatic and medicinal plants, processing, value addition and quality assessment of fragrant raw materials, creation of fragrances, flavours and its application and training in all aspects of essential oils, fragrances and flavours; as also exploring business opportunities in MSME sector according to official data.
 
The Institute conducts round the year in-house training programmes/modular training programmes on all aspects of essential oils, fragrances and flavours. 
 
It also conducts need based and theme based outstation programmes.  Under theme based programmes, the Institute is in the process of conducting internationally focused training programmes on essential oils, perfumery and aromatherapy at its facility.  (KNN/ES)
