Gadkari lauds PM Modi's economic package; says expectations of MSMEs fulfilled
New Delhi, May 13 (KNN) Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of Rs 20 lakh crore for economic relief, Union Minister of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Nitin Gakari said Modi has fulfilled the expectations of the MSME, village, and cottage industry sectors through this ‘historic package’.
In an official statement, Gadkari also said, with abundant resources, superior technology and raw materials, India can soon become self-reliant in all sectors.
He also said that the Prime Minister has also envisioned India as a super economic power in global economy.
''Industry can never forget this support given by Prime Minister to small industries, cottage industries and rural industries. Over 11 crore workers, who work in these, have been given relief. We will become a super economic power, come out of this crisis and walk towards development," Gadkari added.
The Minister further said that COVID-19 pandemic should be taken as a blessing in disguise and with positivity and self-confidence take India ahead.
PM Modi on Tuesday announced an economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore-i.e. 10% of India's GDP. However, the details of the package shall be announced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today.
According to PM this will benefit the workers, hawkers, street vendors, farmers, the business class, etc. He added that special emphasis has been paid to land, labour, liquidity and laws.
