GIZ-QCI organizing workshop on “Innovation & Internationalization Strategy for BMOs” in New Delhi on Jul 20-21

New Delhi, July 3 (KNN) Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with the Quality Council of India (QCI) is organizing a two days training workshop on “Innovation & Internationalization Strategy for BMOs” on July 20-21, 2017 in the national capital.

GIZ along with Office of DC MSME, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is implementing a bilateral project- ‘Innovation promotion in MSME Clusters.

This project aims to improve the local innovation ecosystem through fostering cooperation between different stakeholders and strengthening the innovation management capacity and sustainability of MSMEs in India. BMOs are one of most crucial innovation promotion actors in the MSME ecosystem.

The workshop is being organized for BMO Leaders and Managers with an objective to orient and sensitize them on innovation management strategy and techniques to develop a vibrant ecosystem in their respective clusters.

Day 1 of the workshop has been designed to orient and sensitize BMOs on innovation management strategy and techniques to develop a vibrant ecosystem in their respective clusters.

The key speakers on Day 1 of the workshop would be - SN Tripathi, AS & DC MSME; Wolfgang Leidig; Director Private Sector Development, GIZ; R.P. Singh, Secretary General, Quality Council of India; Prof(Dr) M. P.  Poonia, Vice Chairman, AICTE; Ramesh Dharmaji, CGM, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI); and Shankar Kumar & Amit Kumar from GIZ.

Day 2 is planned to be devoted to guide BMOs on developing and implementing an Internationalization Strategy for their respective clusters. On the second day of the workshop, Thomas Laemmer Gamp; European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis will address on “Going Global –Towards Development & Implementation of Internationalization Strategy”.

The workshop is targeted specifically at BMOS that have undergone the accreditation process of QCI and a few partner BMOs of GIZ. Nearly 40 BMOS across the country have undergone the accreditation process in last two years and gradually the awareness about the importance of such accreditation is being recognized both by BMOs & related stakeholders.
