Government should take steps to resolve MSME related issues and unemployment, says DMK MP Annadurai

New Delhi, Feb 4 (KNN) This is the third year of the pandemic caused by Coronavirus. At a time when India is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav on the occasion of 75 years of its Independence, the will power of every Indian creates immense confidence for India’s bright future. However, the unemployment  in India is a huge problem at present.

“The MSME sectors are not properly implementing the schemes. Everywhere there is poverty. The Government should look into these matters seriously and take time-bound steps to resolve the crisis”, said DMK MP from Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu, CN Annadurai while addressing a motion of thanks on the President’s address in lok sabha.

Unemployment is especially concerning for young people trying to enter the job market, with no relief on the horizon. Inflation also puts pressure on people's savings. And both factor into rising economic inequality in India.

According to the recently published World Inequality Report 2022, India is among the most unequal countries in the world with rising poverty and an affluent elite. The top 1% of the population now controls 22% of the national income, and the bottom 50% has a share of just 13% of the country's income.

According to the report by Genius Consultants, titled the 'Sudden Rise of Rural Unemployment', the country's economy was adversely affected by the pandemic and almost all sectors and industries were impacted, especially the MSME sector that faced a huge set-back. (KNN/AT)
