Government will unveil a blue print for start-ups to give them special support: Kalraj Mishra

Hyderabad, Mar 21 (KNN) Government will unveil a blue print for start-ups where there would be special support structure for them including funding from the government, said Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra.

Attending the inaugural session of “MIT-Global Startup Workshop” here today, the Minister said through the Start-up India initiative, the government wants to build eco-system for nurturing innovation and start-ups to drive economic growth and generate employment opportunities.

Government has taken various measures to improve ease of doing business for building an environment for start-ups including MSMEs in the country.

In the recent years, the Minister pointed that the MSMEs grew at the rate of over 10% and their contribution towards GDP is 37.5%, 45% towards manufactured output, and 44% towards exports.

The MSMEs provide employment to over 80 million persons through over 36 million enterprises. (KNN Bureau)
