Govt conducts e-learning training programme

New Delhi, Nov 25 (KNN) In an effort to promote entrepreneurship, the government is planning to conduct various training programmes on technology skill techniques.

An e-learning training programme called Six Sigma will be initiated under the Ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in MSME technology development centres. It will focus on process improvement methodology, concept of zero defect, statistical data analysis and problem solving techniques.

The eight day certificate course will be attended by multilevel and multi-sectored participants.

The objective of Six Sigma is to help entrepreneurs in achieving optimum business result through minimum resource mobilization with its methodology of define, measure, analyse and improve (DMAIC).

Six Sigma is one of the programmes conducted by MSME Development Institute which provides training and consultancy services for the development of small industries. It teaches statistics, an important variable in Six Sigma, in a non-statistical business English.

The institute’s project ideas included sales, information technology, finance, shipping and human resource. (KNN/ST)
