Govt initiates training programmes on entrepreneurship

New Delhi, Oct 21 (KNN) In an effort to fill skill gaps, the government is planning to conduct various training programmes on entrepreneurship including food management and project management.
The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) in Sonepat, Haryana will conduct training courses on Lab Quality Management (4 days) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) (3 days) as both residential and non-residential courses.
NIFTEM is a brainchild of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI). In its Vision document-2015, MoFPI envisaged creation of a world class institution to cater to the various stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, industry, exporters, policy makers, government and existing institution.
Meanwhile, the MSME Technology Centre in Agra will conduct a four day certificate course in Gurgaon on Project Management.
Project management is the discipline of planning, organizing, securing, and managing resources to achieve specific goals. It requires a manager to achieve all of the project goals and objectives while honouring the preconceived constraints such as scope, time and budget.
Process and Product Development Centre for technological up-gradation of small scale castings and forging industries was set up at Agra in 1985 with the assistance of Government of India, Government of UP, UNDP and UNIDO. (KNN/ST)
