New Delhi, July 10 (KNN) Aiming at equipping the various stakeholders including the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) with knowledge related to the newly implemented Goods and Services Tax (GST), the government has announced certificate course in GST through its Garib Nawaz skill development centres.

Union Minister for Minority affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi made this announcement.

The course is designed to explore the various nuances under the GST. It will also educate on the usage of computer software to file the GST on the official government server.

During the launch event of one of the Centre, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi highlighted the growing significance of GST ready workforce in the country. With the change in tax regime, there is a space that is created for people with GST-expertise, the certificate course at the Garib Nawaz centres aims to tap that space.

He further informed that the government will be opening such centres at more than 90 locations in the country.

The GST certification course will be conducted by a team of accountants and software experts. (KNN/ DA)
