Govt officials, intl experts to discuss SME Cooperation Framework at India-CW SME Trade summit

New Delhi, May 27 (KNN) The upcoming two day India-Commonwealth SME Trade Summit that is scheduled for 30th and 31st of May will see crucial discussions on developing a SME Cooperation framework among the Commonwealth Nations.

Trade policies and agreements relating to the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have been a major concern for the commonwealth nations that has a significant number of such units in operations. Discussions along the lines of formulating a Cooperation framework are being keenly looked upon as an important step towards the growth of the sector.

The first ever India-Commonwealth Summit will be held at New Delhi under the support of Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It is being organized jointly by the India Commonwealth SME Association (ICSA) which is a joint initiative of the Commonwealth Secretariat, London and India’s three premier industry bodies: Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Federation of Indian Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (FISME).

Many key officials from governments of different commonwealth countries will be participating in the summit. Also SMEs, business leaders and Industry bodies will be present along with other stakeholders for the two day summit. (KNN/ DA)
