Govt protected lakhs of employment in MSME sector, says PM Modi

Surat, April 29 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the government protected lakhs of jobs in the MSME sector through massive financial assistance to curb the impact of pandemic. 

He said that the MSME sector saw advancement despite the challenges of Covid-19 pandemic and is creating new areas of employment. 

Inaugurating the Global Patidar Business Summit (GPBS) virtually, PM Modi highlighted several schemes and initiatives taken by the central government to foster entrepreneurial mindset across India. 

He called Surat one of the fastest growing cities of the world where the summit is taking place.

Recognising the contribution of small and big businesses, he hailed the summit for covering topics related to MSMEs, start-ups, innovation etc. 

The three day summit is being organized by Sardardham under 'Mission 2026' to provide an impetus to socio-economic development of Patidar community. (KNN Bureau)
