Govt to ensure MSMEs get access to credit, export market, technology: MSME Minister Rane

New Delhi, Mar 30 (KNN) The Government has ensured that the MSME sector receives an unhindered credit flow from financial institutions, technology support for development and modernization, access to export markets, infrastructure facility, said Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane.

Speaking at the two-day mega summit on MSME competitiveness and growth, he highlighted the significance of MSMEs as growth accelerators making a vital contribution to the GDP.

Although MSMEs hold a major role in the growth of GDP they have been working amidst minimum resources and continue to give their significant contribution.

Hence it is absolutely necessary that these growth accelerators are handheld and strengthened, said the Minister.

Minister of State (MoS), MSME Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma was also present at the event and said that India is currently at a phase where interesting economic decisions and strategies are to be taken with the focus on entrepreneurship, start-ups, innovations and MSMEs.

He credited the progressive changes in public policy for the palpable growth in the MSME sector.

The summit is organized by Ministry of MSME and Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) wherein experts will discuss MSME sector amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, role of incubators or accelerators in MSMEs’ growth, MSME competitiveness and several other topics. (KNN Bureau)
