Govt to organise a course on six sigma for MSMEs

New Delhi, Aug 8 (KNN) The technology development centre (TDC) of the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is going to organise a four day certificate course on six sigma green belt programme from August-17 to 25 for small entrepreneurs. 

“TDC, Agra also known as process and product development centre, presents a four day weekend programme on six sigma, green belt certification from August 17-25 in Gurgaon and Noida,” said an notification today. 

The centre provides training and consultancy services for the development of MSMEs. It provides a comprehensive range of services to the sector in India in terms of technical assistance, information, provision for common facilities etc.

“The trainer’s explanation and the analogy given during the sessions helped me to understand the concepts better,” said Shreejith N, one of the candidates last year.

Further, the six sigma is one of the training programmes conducted by MSME-TDC which is widely attended by multilevel and multi-sectored participants.

About the course, Antony-a participant said "The course was very interactive and I liked the study materials and exercises given.  I learned various concepts in six sigma.”

The centre for technological upgradation of small scale and forging industries was set up at Agra in 1985 with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

It provides testing for chemical, metallurgical non-destructive ferrous and non-ferrous metals and engineering components. It is equipped with instruments which test raw materials, engineering products, building material conforming to Indian and International standards. (KNN/GUNJ)
