Govt to support small units' participation in Czech Republic fair

New Delhi, Aug 16 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is encouraging micro and small companies registered with the Development Commissioner (DC)-MSME to participate in the prestigious Styl-Kabo International Fashion Fair in the Czech Republic beginning on Sunday.

The Ministry is providing financial support to the participants of the fair where products relating to fashion, footwear, leather etc can be showcased.

Financial support will be provided in the form of concessional rental space and reimbursement of airfare of participants. 

 “As per the market development assistance (MDA) scheme all the willing participants of micro and small entrepreneurs, registered in DIC as a manufacturing units are eligible for consideration and require to deposit 50 per cent space rent at the time of booking of the stall for the fair,” said the office of the DC-MSME.

Further, women entrepreneurs and those belonging to scheduled caste and tribes need to pay 50 per cent space rent charge which will be refundable to them after participation in the fair. 
  
Styl-Kabo fairs are concurrent events held biannually in the Czech Republic. The event is a perfect venue for small and medium companies which want to promote their brands, launch new products, make new contacts and get in touch with distributors.

It represents the largest business-to-business trade for fashion industry professionals in the Czech Republic and the Central Europe. The fair is expected to be visited by about 6,000 leading industry professionals from various countries.  It is a meeting place for traders from textile, clothing and leather industries.    

The international fair will be organised from August 18-20 in the Czech Republic and will display shoes, bags, wallets, suitcases, components of leather etc. 

Moreover, entrepreneurs are permitted to avail of benefit under MDA scheme for participation and reimbursing their claim only once in a financial year irrespective of the number of units they own.  (KNN/GUNJ)
