Govt will bring symmetry in MSMEs & big enterprises: Ram Mohan Mishra

New Delhi, 11 June (KNN) To bring the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in competition with big enterprises, Ministry of MSME is planning to setup facilitation centre across the nation, said Ram Mohan Mishra, Additional Secretary of MSME Ministry.

He made the statement while addressing a workshop on social entrepreneurship organized by the MSME Development Institute and Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India in Gandhinagar.

Mishra said, ’’To know the problems faced by the MSMEs, these facilitation centres will be set up in block levels and providing information to them’’.

The ministry is working on improving the capacity of enterprises that stand low in supply chain, so that they can organically join the chain and supply their material by improving quality and becoming price competitive, he said.

In addition, the main target of setting up facilitation centres is to check the problems faced by MSMEs and providing them information at the same time.

Ministry is trying to help in seven factors to the MSMEs which are human capacity development, knowledge services, access to finance, technology, infrastructure, market access, and ease of doing business. It will help in reducing risk factor for the enterprise, and in turn, it will help them in getting funds from banks, Mishra added.

As market runs at its own pace and so the Government is focused on facilitation for upgrading of product quality and bringing down the manufacturing cost. To make the products accepted in market manufactured by them will be done by this process.

Overall goal of the Government is to lift the supply chain of MSMEs, cost cutting, quality improvement and making the ecosystem symmetrical.
