Gujarat based entrepreneur Prashant Patel elected President of FISME

New Delhi, Mar 11 (KNN) The Central Executive Committee of Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) has elected Prashant Patel as President for 2022-23 in the meeting convened in New Delhi on 9th March 2022.

He is Director of R.K. Synthetics Ltd, Ahmedabad & Prashant Industries, Surat. 

A relatively young businessman hailing from the family manufacturing dyes and chemicals, Patel has been a veteran of industry associations. Before graduating to the premier position, he was serving as Vice President of FISME and Secretary of Gujarat Dyestuffs Manufacturers' Association.

Spelling out his priority areas he said, “FISME shall focus on three areas namely Public Procurement, issues related Banking and Finance and up-gradation of industrial areas & clusters.”

Outgoing President Dr. Animesh Saxena congratulated Patel while handing over the baton. 

Besides being part of a family business in Ahmedabad and one unit that he individually runs in Surat, Patel has worked extensively in industry associations.

He has been Secretary to Vatva Industries Association (Ahmedabad) and General Secretary to Saykha Industries Association (Bharuch) and played an instrumental role in turning around the infrastructure in Vatva and Narora industrial areas and developing common facilities for industries.

At Common Effluent Treatment Plants in Narora as well as at Saykha, he held the position of Director which have been running successfully. 

Currently he is also Co-chairman of Chemical Taskforce at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries & Committee member of GIDC Task Force, and serves as member on the Committee at Federation of Industries Association (Ahmedabad). (KNN Bureau)
