New Delhi, Nov 29 (KNN) Himachal Pradesh will soon get a state-of-the art tool room worth Rs 100 crore in the Baddi industrial area for which the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) KH Muniyappa will lay the foundation stone.

The decision was taken yesterday when Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh met the MSME Minister here and invited him to lay the foundation stone for the Tool Room in December.

The state government has already transferred land for setting up the tool room, and it would provide all logistic support and other facilities for setting up the facility in the state.

The Chief Minister also asked the MSME minister to announce a revival package for the Village and the Khadi Industries Board; and also the setting up of clusters for fruit processing, village industries and other small and cottage industries in the state.

The tool room would help in the skill development of rural youth, and increase their chances of employment, both in the public and private sectors. (KNN/Bureau)
