IEC with MSME-DI organises networking event to connect startups with mentors

New Delhi, Nov 28 (KNN) India Entrepreneurs Club (IEC) in association with Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI), New Delhi organised networking event themed ''Unfold the Secrets of Improving Business DNA'' to connect 40 startups with 20 mentors.
 
While speaking at the event Vijay Kumar, Director, MSME-DI, who was also the host of the event on Wednesday said, ''We are happy to support initiative of India Entrepreneurs Club under ‘ Industrial Motivational Program’ running presently by DC MSME office. For entrepreneurs, turning a passion into a business is the ultimate dream. But that dream doesn’t come easily.''
 
''We are happy to have supported the initiative by IEC and the turnout of both, startups as well as mentors, was overwhelming and shows there is dire need of the same. The event also provided us the opportunity to create awareness about various MSME scheme especially related to startup funding and marketing support.’

Raj K Pathak, Chairman, Delhi NCR organiser of the event said that the thriving entrepreneurs often cite mentoring as a critical component of their success. Research shows that entrepreneurs who reap the benefits of mentoring grow their businesses every year.
 
''At the workshop titled 'Mentoring Fuels Startup Success’ IEC brought 20 mentors and 40 startups together on single platform.  The USP of the event is a commitment by mentors who are otherwise experienced professionals in their respective domains but each of them agreed to commit 45 days to 100 days of mentorship to at least 2 participating startups for FREE,'' Raj added.

''A business DNA can be improved with the help of a mentor. This initiative by IEC supported by MSME DI new Delhi is worth applauding, wherein an experienced professional commit 50 to 100  days of FREE mentorship to participating startups. This should result in startups being able to resolve their challenges,'' said Sanjay Nagi, Managing Director Market Insight.
