IIA establishes 20 GST helpdesks in 3 states for MSMEs

New Delhi, July 11 (KNN) Aiming at facilitating the transition and addressing the doubts over the newly implemented Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Indian Industries Association (IIA) has set up over 20 helpdesks in three different states for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

These helpdesk are set up in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The entrepreneurs can approach these helpdesks with queries related to the GST. Their queries will be attended by team of experts.

Also the industry body has set up a dedicated portal on their website, where traders and entrepreneurs can access vital information on the various nuances of the GST.

Sunil Vaish, President of IIA said that the MSMEs are facing a lot of confusion in understanding the norms of the new tax policy. Also there is a lot of confusion and many rumours are being spread leading to misinformation in the sector. Therefore it is important to take up these confusions and address them.

Sunil further said that the MSME entrepreneurs who cannot visit the helpdesks physically may approach the dedicated portal on their website. Also there is a section where they can raise query online with the experts. (KNN/ DA)
