IIE-Guwahati, EPCH partner to provide design and marketing input to NE artisans

New Delhi, July 18 (KNN) The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati has tied up with Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and National Centre for Design and Product Development (NCDPD) to provide design inputs and marketing opportunities to entrepreneurs in handicrafts sector of North eastern states.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed here on Thursday and the objective too would be capacity enhancement of handicraft exporters, manufacturers and artisans in the region.

The MoA was signed by Director of IIE Manoj K Das; Executive Director of EPCH, Rakesh Kumar and Executive Durector of NCDPD, RK Shrivastava
As per the agreement, IIE, EPCH and NCDPD will work jointly and pool their resources for betterment of handicraft exporters, manufacturers, artisans in the region.

IIE has an objective to provide consultancy and monitoring service to MSMEs and potential entrepreneurs and enhancing employability of participants. Its main function includes designing and organising training activities for different target group and undertaking research in the relevant to entrepreneurship.

EPCH is engaged in promotion of handicrafts from India and project India's image abroad as a reliable supplier of high quality handicrafts. (KNN Bureau)
