India & Britain may explore possibility of co-operation in MSME sector

New Delhi, Sept 12 (KNN) British High Commissioner to India is keen to explore possibilities of co-operation and collaboration in the MSME sector between India and Britain in fields such as skill development, entrepreneurship development, technology transfers etc.

The British High Commissioner, James Baven called on the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Kalraj Mishra here today.

“The High Commissioner said that India and Britain may explore possibilities of co-operation and collaboration in the MSME sector in the fields like skill development, entrepreneurship development, technology transfers etc,” MSME Ministry said in a release today.

Mishra expressed gratitude to the High Commissioner and assured best co-operation and support.  Senior Officers of the Ministry were also present on the occasion.

The bilateral trade between the two countries was 12 billion pounds in 2012. About 40,000 Indian students are currently studying in the UK. (KNN/SD)
