Jaipur, Sep 19 (KNN) Stressing on the necessity for MSMEs to grow in order to push economic growth, Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra has said that India will become a developed nation after becoming the manufacturing hub.

While addressing at an industrial fair organized by Laghu Udyog Bharti here on Saturday, Mishra highlighted the importance of micro, small and medium enterprises in the economy's development.

He said expansion of small businesses is necessary for growth of the nation, and also for making families self-sufficient.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken steps to transform the country into a manufacturing hub which will invite investment and enhance skills of the youths, he said.

People in Rajasthan have entrepreneurship skills, therefore there is vast potential of small scale industries in the state, he added.

Addressing the event, Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje said the state government is going to organize industrial exhibitions, buyers and sellers meet and Make in India programmes at the district level.

"The state government has decided to institute the Rajasthan Udyog Award, Best Woman Entrepreneur, Best Business Practice and other awards for the sector," Raje said.

During the MSME Conclave more than 1000 delegates got registered while there more more than 400 stalls put up by the MSMEs. (KNN Bureau)
