Indian Oil and Garden Reach Shipbuilders participate in FOSMI vendor meet

Held on February-27, the vendor development programme (VDP) was aimed at assisting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to market their products.
Welcoming the gathering, Vice President, FOSMI, S K Kedia, said that VDPs had assumed even greater significance in the light of the Public Procurement Policy of the Government of India. At the same time he stressed the importance of delivering quality products and services on the part of MSMEs for their survival and growth.
During the meeting,Chief Manager, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, P L Choudhury gave a detailed presentation with regard to products and services they wanted to procure from MSEs, their procurement policy, enlistment procedure, etc.
Thereafter, Deputy General Manager (Purchase) of GRSE Ltd, Amalundu Banerjee, listed the frequently required products and services GRSE was interested in procuring from MSEs. He also gave details of their enlistment procedure.
A lively interaction / question hour session followed. Others who addressed the meeting were Assistant Director, MSME-DI, Kolkata, P K Das and Deputy Director, MSME-DI, Kolkata, Monojit Guha. (KNN/ES)
