International convention to enhance family-run businesses

New Delhi, Oct 16 (KNN) In an endeavour to provide a powerful platform to family business leaders from across the country, CII-FBN India Chapter is coordinating an international convention exclusively for next generation members of family run businesses.

The second edition of Next Generation (NxG) International Convention on Family Business is scheduled to be held from November 6 to 8, 2014 in at Fateh Prakash Palace Convention Centre, Udaipur.

Participants will include around 125 next gen participants from various business families across the country and a few next gen leaders as speakers from overseas.

The event will focus on ‘Managing Paradoxes and 3Qs -Intellectual Quotient- Emotional Quotient- Spiritual Quotient’. It will direct attention on various themes of interest to young business leaders, such as two academic sessions focusing on governance and succession, leadership focusing management, innovation, marketing and spirituality in family business.

Young family business leaders in the 18-40 age groups will be taking part in the three-day event.

Lead faculty participants include experts such as Jan Thomassen from Netherlands a specialist on governance and succession issues of enterprising families and Albert Jan who regularly moderates and facilitates workshops, education programmes and family meetings.

There will also be panel discussions on the topics - ‘Entrepreneurship within the Family Business’ and “Women and Emotions in the Family Business’. (KNN/ST)
