Jabalpur, Feb 12 (KNN) The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) based in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh have asked the state government to establish furniture cluster to promote employment in the region. 

Micro units with a capacity of about 1 crore are associated with clusters in the MSME sector.

Around 500 wood from Jabalpur goes to states like Rajasthan said Himanshu Khare, Senior Vice President, Chamber of Commerce.

“And we buy the same wood at a higher rate after the value addition,” he added.

Hence this should benefit us in someway such as furniture cluster so that people can get employment, Khare opined.

He also mentioned that a lucrative proposal can be made if over 90 per cent are small or micro in it

Technology is also a significant part of the cluster development and further help MSMEs to progress.(KNN Bureau)
