Jammu industry assured of immediate implementation of incentive package

Singh visited the Sidco Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana recently along with other officials from the Department.
Singh issued immediate instructions to the concerned officials for immediate implementation of this package as envisaged in the policy without deviations for timely release of funds and to facilitate the entrepreneurs with improvements to promote ease of doing business in the difficult State of J&K, a press release said.
Singh was accompanied by Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Sourab Bhagat, Director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu, Dr. Abdul Rashid, Managing Director, JKDFC, A A Bhat and other government officials from the Industries Department.
During the interaction, President, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), Annil Suri, highlighted the various issues related to the implementation of package of incentives announced by DIPP which includes the “Pre-Registration Clause related to the release of CIS, delay in the release of funds for the subsidies/ incentives, regular SLC Meetings for timely clearance of cases, implementation of Freight Subsidy Scheme, Neutrality of Location for the setting of new units as no land is available with state government; COIS limit at par with GOI Incentives i.e. maximum of 3 Crore for investments more than 10 crore, 3 per cent interest subsidy to be extended to units covered under substantial expansion and the role / objectives of JKDFC.”
Later, Singh visited three units - Shalimar Floorings Pvt Ltd, Saraswati Plasto Tech Ltd. and Emcure Pharmaceutical Ltd. and appreciated the quality of Products being manufactured there. (KNN/ES)
