Jitan Ram Manjhi Vows to Focus on Empowering Poor Under His Regime

New Delhi, Jun 12 (KNN) Newly appointed Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Jitan Ram Manjhi, has vowed to prioritise the empowerment of the underprivileged sections of society through his new role.

Assuming charge of the crucial ministry on Wednesday, Manjhi outlined his commitment to working towards the upliftment of the poor, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for inclusive development.

"I am very encouraged by the Prime Minister's vision for the ministry, which aims to take the benefits of growth to areas that have hitherto remained untouched," Manjhi stated in his inaugural address.

The minister revealed that PM Modi had personally conveyed to him the significance of the MSME sector in realising the goal of empowering the poor and ensuring that the fruits of economic progress reach every corner of the nation.

"The Prime Minister said his vision is the upliftment of the poor and taking the benefits of growth to places hitherto untouched. He said a lot can be achieved through this ministry," Manjhi quoted PM Modi as saying.

Expressing gratitude for being entrusted with the crucial portfolio, Manjhi assured that he would leave no stone unturned in fulfilling the Prime Minister's vision of empowering the underprivileged through the MSME sector.

"I consider myself fortunate that PM Modi considered me capable of handling the ministry. He knows the needs of every nook and corner of the country, and accordingly, he takes initiatives. I will take care of the PM's vision to empower the poor," Manjhi affirmed.

The MSME sector, which plays a pivotal role in employment generation and industrial output, is expected to receive a significant boost under Manjhi's leadership, with a particular focus on initiatives aimed at facilitating access to finance, technology, and markets for small and medium enterprises operated by marginalised communities.
