Kalraj Mishra celebrates Rakhi with Deoria residents; distributes PMSBY policy

New Delhi, Aug 28 (KNN) Promoting the Pradhan Mantri Surakhsa Bima Yojana (PMSBY) scheme in his Parliamentary constituency Deoria, Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra today got Rakhi tied on his hand by the local women in the town and also distributed the policy to them.
 
The event was organized in Deoria under the PMSBY programme by the public sector lender Central Bank.
 
In Pathardeva, the event was organised by Punjab National Bank. Mishra distributed the policy to local women in Pathardeva as well.
 
The minister later met the party workers at Govindpur village.
 
On Thursday, the MSME Minister said that a target of adding 15 thousand persons under the scheme has been fixed.
 
“I will launch the scheme in Deoria tomorrow," Mishra said adding that he would pay the premium of poor families from his own resources.
 
Under the scheme an accident cover of Rs 2 lakh is offered on accidental death and disability. People have to pay a premium of Rs 12/- per annum to avail the scheme.

Minister also appealed to MLAs of his constituency to add maximum number of poor people under the scheme and help in making the scheme a success. (KNN Bureau)
