Kalraj Mishra lauds Gurgaon's 'car free' day; calls for more such eco-friendly initiatives

New Delhi, Sept 23 (KNN) Calling for more eco-friendly initiatives, Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra has appreciated the people of Gurgaon for having a car-free day which dropped the air pollution level by 21 per cent.

Twitter enthusiast Mishra, wrote, “Great Air pollution level drops by 21% aftr car free day in Haryana I aprciate the effrt of people & officials of the City to make it happen.”

“Great! Air pollution lvl drops by 21% aftr car free day in Haryna,I apreciate the effort of people & officials of the city to make it happen,” he added.

He said there should be more such eco-friendly initiatives.

After Gurgaon, the Delhi government has declared the stretch between Red Fort and India Gate ‘car-free’ on October 22. The Gurgaon administration declared every Tuesday a car-free day, the first of which was observed on September 22. (KNN Bureau)
