Karnataka COWE to be inaugurated on international women's day

Bengaluru, Mar 7 (KNN)  The Karnataka chapter of the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) will be launched here tomorrow on International Women's Day, the event also featuring a walkathon.
 
MSME Minister, K H Muniyappa will be the chief guest at the event while Chairman, Manipal Global Education, Mohan Das Pai TV and Former Minister of Industries, Government of Karnataka, Murgesh R Nirani will be guests of honour and honorary consul for Rwanda in Bangalore, Mohan Suresh will be a special invitee.
 
COWE-International Women’s Day will also see the participation of speakers such as ex-president FKCCI, J Crasta, Sucharita Eashwar from We-connect International, Revathy Ashok from B-PAC and ex-minister, Government of Karnataka, Leela Devi R Prasad.
 
According to founder chairperson of COWE, Karnataka, Rupa Rani the day will begin with a walkathon.   
 
The Andhra Chapter of the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) which has been in operation since 2004 is an NGO engaged in the social and economic “upliftment of women through entrepreneurship".
 
The slogan "gearing women power" stands for the democratic structure of COWE and stands for “of the women, for the women and by the women”.
 
It has over 450 women entrepreneurs as members from the fields of food processing, information technology, pharmaceuticals, printing, packaging, manufacturing, retailing, textiles, etc.

COWE's vision is to build a group of women who are economically empowered, valued citizens of the nation by combining the dormant talent, skills, practical knowledge and resources of women with dedication and commitment.

It enhances women's opportunities by creating a resource base of technical know-how, management, marketing skills, finance, infrastructure and equipment to promote entrepreneurship.  (KNN/ES)
