KASSIA greets newly formed central govt; urges them to facilitate SMEs

New Delhi, June 1 (KNN) The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) has appealed the new government to give necessary help and support to the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as the sector is reeling under palpable recessionary conditions.

While welcoming the newly formed Central Government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of KASSIA, Basavaraj S Javali said, “It is particularly important that the SMEs are given the necessary help and support to perform to their potential as the sector has gone through difficult times and is still reeling under palpable recessionary conditions.”

KASSIA said “The Prime Minister has emerged on the forefront of leadership as an undisputed leader and the country expects a great deal from him in his second term.”

It asserted that the next 5 years will be very challenging for the new Government which will have to put the national economy, which is showing signs of slow down, on track. In the present global scenario, and also the conditions obtaining in the country, the economy is likely to face headwinds.

The Prime Minister who is aware of the situation will surely pay the due attention required to put economy on a higher growth path, hoped KASSIA.

It said “We are very happy that some of the stalwarts from Karnataka including Nirmala Seetharaman, D.V.Sadananda Gowda, Prahalad Joshi and Suresh Angadi have been given key portfolios. They have got long experience in public life, naturally, which should further contribute a great deal to the success of this Government.”

KASSIA looks forward to working with the new government in the interest of the growth and development of the SMEs and shaping the future of the SMEs in the country, said Javali.
