New Delhi, Apr 3 (KNN) MSME body Karnataka Small Scale Industries (KASSIA), is all set to present small and micro enterprises awards for the year 2018 titled “Ujwala Udyami Prashasti-2018”.

This award ceremony is going to be held on May 5 at the KASSIA auditorium.

The awards will be presented in recognition of outstanding contribution by micro and small enterprises in the development of world class products and services by adapting to latest technology, manufacturing and marketing facilities.

The award categories that have been chosen for the outstanding performance are Textiles, apparels, accessories including technical textiles, agro food processing, handicrafts, engineering fabrication, tool & die making, OEM manufacturers, auto components, aerospace, defence & space components, electronic system design & manufacturing including electronics hardware & assemblies and others.

Special categories under which jury will decide the winners are Kassia Ratna, SME of the year, most innovative SME of the year, socially responsible SME of the year, fastest growing SME of the year, SC/ST entrepreneur of the year, physically disabled award for men & women, women entrepreneur of the year, start-up entrepreneur of the year.

R Hanumanthe Gowda, President of KASSIA in a press statement said that distinguished jury has been constituted to select the awardees, which will be chaired by Sadananda Maiya, CMD of Maiyas Beverages and Foods Pvt Ltd, comprising acclaimed industry representatives, civil servants and professionals.

Further, the jury will evaluate the entries across categories and select the winner for the awards, he added.

Interested SMEs can send in their entries till April 25 via forms available in KASSIA office or can be downloaded from www.kassia.com, a release from KASSIA said. (KNN/YV)
