Khadi Bhawan to open in Varanasi: MSME Minister

Varanasi Jan 15 (KNN) With a view to making khadi a competitive brand, Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister, Kalraj Mishra said that a Khadi Bhawan will open in Varanasi.
The Minister attended a Vocational Excellence Award Ceremony organised by Rotary Club Varanasi here.
Speaking at the event, he said that sale of Khadi has increased as compared to the last ten years. Youth are also purchasing Khadi now, he added.
He also spoke about the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna which is about to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the farmers.
The premium rates to be paid by farmers are very low and balance premium will be paid by the Government to provide full insured amount to the farmers against crop loss on account of natural calamities.
Talking about the benefits of the scheme, he said that if farmers face any damage, Government will provide 25 per cent fund immediately and rest 75 per cent after the full assessment of the damage. (KNN Bureau)
