Manesar, Apr 21 (KNN) Once the work of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway is fully complete, it would massively help the industries in smooth transportation of goods and raw materials especially at the GT Karnal Road and for sending goods from Haryana to UP without entering Delhi, said an MSME entrepreneur.

The Manesar-Palwal section of the KMP Expressway has been made operational reducing the distance between Palwal (NH-20) to Panipat (NH-1) to 192 kilometres while the distance from KMP point at Palwal on NH 2 via Bilaspur Chowk, Kulana, Jhajjar, Rohtak and Panipat to 210 kilometres.

One of the important benefits of commuting from Pawal to Panipat which helps towards ease of doing business is that one does not need to enter Delhi for that.

Talking to KNN, Secretary General of Manesar Industries Welfare Association (MIWA), Manmohan Gaind said, “The complete KMP expressway will ease traffic towards Gurgaon and decongest the city and would also save truck’s entry to other parts. It is a good solution.”

He however said that the partial KMP operational is not much effective as it does not solve any problem as of now.

“In commuting from Agra to Jaipur it helps but if it solves the problem of the traffic congestion at the GT Karnal road, that would be a massive help,” Gaind said adding that the move would really help in transportation as logistics is very important for a business.

“Today for sending one truck from Gurgaon to UP, it has to enter Delhi then go to UP. But with this expressway fully operational there would be an option where trucks can go from Manesar to Ghaziabad directly. That’s a big benefit,” he said.

KMP Expressway is the Haryana’s first access controlled expressway. The expressway would join four main highways – Delhi-Jaipur Road, Gurgaon-Nuh-Alwar Road, Palwal-Sohna-Rewari Road and Delhi-Agra Road.

The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited said that theme parks would also be developed in 1 kilometre corridor/ controlled area on either side of expressway. (KNN Bureau)
