Less than 10% MSMEs selected from Gujarat under 'Make in India'

New Delhi, Dec 9 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi home turf, Gujarat, got only four out of the 25 lakh MSMEs selected under his flagship programme 'Make in India'. This accounts for less than 10 per cent of the 57 MSMEs across India which got Rs 106.30 crore as a boost to the sector. 

Rajasthan, Haryana and Tamil Nadu have got more share in MSMEs fund in comparison to Gujarat. 

MoS Finance Jay ant Sinha said this in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha while providing details of funds allocated under Make in India programme. 

The fund has been allocated by SIDBI under the Make in India initiative to 57 eligible MSMEs across India with a sanction of Rs. 106.30 crore till November 20. SIDBI has been managing funds under the `India Microfinance Equity Fund'. The four chosen MSMEs have got Rs 2.55 crore under the `Make in India' initiative. (KNN Bureau)
