Gurgaon, Mar 11 (KNN) 'Made in India' will boost the 'Make in India' programme of the government, said auto component manufacturers from Manesar.

He said this lauding the launch of Made in India Baleno in Japan by Suzuki Motor Corporation.

Japanese automobile company Suzuki Motor Corporation Wednesday launched the Made in India Baleno in Japan, said its Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.

In a statement Maruti Suzuki India said the Baleno model is rolled out only in India at its Manesar facility in Haryana.

Since its Indian launch last year, Maruti Suzuki India has sold over 38,000 units of Baleno cars in domestic market and plans to export it to more than 100 countries, the company said.

“Maruti gives good business to small and medium components to meet its huge demand of auto components,” Deepak Raheja, Adi Automotives Private Limited, told KNN.

Recently, the company also announced assembling of its high end super bike Hayabusa in India too.

“When the big companies are set up here, the local industry definitely benefits. We already supply to Hero Moto, Maruti and their demand is quite good,” Raheja said.

Sunil Bakshi from Sunil Auto, a supplier to Maruti, said, ‘The quality of components that Maruti buys is very good and same for Indian as well as cars for exporting.”

“It’s a proud moment for us that the cars that were earlier imported to India and now being exported,” he said adding that it will be very good for ‘Make in India’ programme. (KNN Bureau)
