Madhya Pradesh MSME Department Suspends Land Allocation Due To Technical Issues

Bhopal, Aug 5 (KNN) The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department has temporarily suspended the allocation of land parcels to industries in Madhya Pradesh, citing technical difficulties with its online portal.

In an official communication dated July 31, 2024, the department instructed all District Industries Centres (DICs) to cancel applications for undeveloped land allotment received in July.

MSME Commissioner Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari stated, "We have identified certain issues with the software that led to complications in the land allotment process during July.”

He also mentioned, “A committee of experts has been formed to address these technical challenges and upgrade the portal."

The department anticipates resuming land allocations by late August or early September, following the completion of the portal upgrade.

This pause in operations is expected to allow for a comprehensive overhaul of the system, ensuring a more streamlined process for future applicants.
