Marketing Assistance Schemes for the MSMEs

New Delhi, August 4 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises provide Marketing assistance to MSMEs through various schemes.
 
Under the Marketing Assistance and Technology Upgradation (MATU) Scheme, financial support is given to participate in State/District level local exhibitions/trade fairs.
 
Vendor Development Programme (VDP) is a platform to bring Buyers and Sellers together for business promotion.
 
Under the Marketing Development Assistance (MDA), financial assistance to Micro and Small enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions and to implement Bar Code is provided.
 
In 2015-15, for MATU, Rs 500 lakh was allocated, whereas the expenditure and achievement details were not given for the year till June 30, 2015.
 
Meanwhile for VDP, Rs 500 lakh was allocated for the year 2015-16, out of which Rs 30.00 lakh have been spent till June 30, 2015 from which 15 units have benefited.
 
Furthermore, for MDP, Rs 500 lakh was allocated, out of which Rs 99.50 lakh was spent till June 30, 2015 benefiting as many as 139 units.
 
The information was given by Minister of State for MSME, Giriraj Singh, in a written reply to the Lok Sabha on Monday. (KNN Bureau)
