Min of MSME bags platinum award at Digital India Awards

New Delhi, Feb 27 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) was honoured with Platinum Award at the Digital India Awards under Web Ratna category for its exemplary performance in digital journey.

The award was given by the Union Minister for Electronics & IT and Law & Justice, Dr. Ravi Shankar Prasad at Indian Habitat Centre, here recently.

Under the Web Ratna category, the award was conferred to those Ministries/ Departments of Government of India which have a comprehensive web presence and displays the level of accountability in term of quantity, quality, the spectrum of coverage, integration with electronic authentication and digital payment.

The Digital India Awards aim at encouraging Government entities, which have made significant contributions towards the implementation of e-Governance and shown an exemplary & innovative approach to achieve administrative efficiency and transparency.

The Digital India Awards over the years have honoured various government departments which have done exemplary work. Over the years the categories have also been aligned with the latest trends in the field of technology.

Thirty Five awards were given under different categories at the 5th edition of Digital India Awards. The Minister later released the awards compendium containing details about the award winning initiatives. (KNN/YV)
