Ministry of MSME invites entries by Oct 15 for National MSME Awards

New Delhi, Sept 7 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) has called for entries for the National MSME Awards.

The National MSME Awards is organized by the Ministry to recognize the MSME entrepreneurs for their outstanding performance and by conferring awards motivate and encourage them.

Last year, the awards were held in Ludhiana and were presented to the entrepreneurs by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The registration for the awards can be done online through - http://msmedi.dcmsme.gov.in/Ent_NA_Admin/Ent_NA_Ent.aspx

The last date for submitting applications is October 15, 2017.

The various categories under which the awards would be presented are – Innovation; Manufacturing; Service; Lean Manufacturing; Quality Products; Export; and State Awards.

For eligibility, the MSMEs should have been in continuous manufacturing /services for last four years. The awards will be given for each year to deserving Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises which have Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM).

MSMEs would also register in MSME Databank, web portal: www.msmedatabank.in (click on register and then MSME) before submission of their application.

Registration at MSME Databank is mandatory for MSMEs even if they have earlier obtained UAM.

All awards (except 3 awards to Outstanding Performance award to States/ UTs) will carry cash prize of Rs.1.00 lakh, a Certificate and a Trophy. 3 awards to States/ UTs for their Outstanding Performance will carry a certificate and a trophy. No TA/ DA, Hotel Charges etc. will be paid. (KNN Bureau)
