More than 55K MSMEs register with Udyog Aadhaar

New Delhi, Nov 23 (KNN) More than 55 thousand MSME entrepreneurs have registered with the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum.
“Udyog Aadhaar registration touches 55944 entrepreneurs,” Ministry of MSME said on its social media page.
Out of the 55,944 people who registered themselves with the UAM, 35696 enterprises were in the manufacturing sector and balance in Service sector.
As many as 15 MIS Reports can be seen by stakeholders for policy and decision support system, the Ministry wrote.
With the view to promote ease of doing business, the Ministry of MSME has come out with a one page UAM, which can be filled online by the MSMEs. However, in exceptional cases, where online filing is not possible due to any reason, a hard copy of the form can be submitted to the District Industry Centre which shall file the Memorandum online on behalf of them.
There is no fee for filling the UAM and there is also be no restriction in filling more than one Memorandum using the same Aadhaar Number. (KNN Bureau)
