MP Minister Appoints Nodal Officers Dedicated for MSMEs

New Delhi, Mar 11 (KNN) In a bid to bolster industrial development within the state, MSME Minister Chetanya Kasyap announced plans to appoint two dedicated nodal officers aimed at addressing concerns from industrialists.

Their role will be to assist budding entrepreneurs seeking investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

During his address at the Malwa Udhaymi conference and start-up conclave in Indore, organised by Laghu Udyog Bharati, Madhya Pradesh, Kashyap emphasised the pivotal role these officers would play in resolving grievances and facilitating the establishment of new industries.

These officers will work closely with various departments to streamline approvals and permissions necessary for setting up industries.

Additionally, Kashyap disclosed the government's commitment to supporting start-ups in Madhya Pradesh with a substantial seed capital fund of Rs 100 crore.

Talks with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) are underway to materialise this initiative.

Furthermore, the MSME department is actively working on expediting the disbursement of subsidies to industries through the development of an innovative software.

This software will enable seamless transfer of subsidies directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts with a single click, a process expected to be operational within the coming months.

Highlighting the burgeoning industrial landscape in Madhya Pradesh, Kashyap outlined plans for the establishment of new industrial parks and allocation of land in regions such as Ratlam, Mandsaur, Rewa, Alirajpur, and Panna.

Notably, Panna has been earmarked for the development of a specialised cluster catering to diamond-related industries, leveraging existing expertise in diamond cutting within the region.

Moreover, the MSME department is actively identifying and incorporating land banks in eastern Madhya Pradesh to attract industries. The ambitious agenda includes the launch of 30-35 industrial clusters across various districts in the state, further solidifying Madhya Pradesh's position as a conducive hub for industrial growth and innovation.
