MSME-DI Facilitation Centre will help Govt as well as MSMEs: FTAPCCI to KNN

Hyderabad, Oct 22 (KNNN) The MSME-DI Facilitation Centre inaugurated by the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Congress and Industry (FTAPCCI) will not only help Government get authentic data about the MSMEs but it would also help the industry avail benefits of the government schemes, Anil Reddy Vennam, Immediate Past President of FTAPCCI told KNN.

FTAPCCI President Ravindra Modi on Friday inaugurated the MSME-DI facilitation centre here today.

The officials of MSME DI Mr G Ramakanth, Ms Sumathi, and Mr GS Bist, were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravindra Modi said that the FTAPCCI has taken initiative to start a facilitation Centre with the support of MSME-DI, Hyderabad for online registration of their members as well as non-members.

The MSME Ministry made it mandatory for every micro, small and medium enterprise to register itself in the MSME data bank for generating the data base.

Each enterprise needs to upload its profile, details of products it made, and the facilitation centre will help the members who require help, said Mr. Ravindra Modi, president, FTAPCCI.

Elaborating on the role that FTAPCCI will play in facilitating MSMEs to register in the Data Bank, Vennam said, “The association organizes programmes for the MSMEs to create awareness amongst them on benefits of getting registered with the Ministry’s Data Bank. We also help them in registering.”

He said, “Yesterday we organized a programme in which we asked the MSMEs to get their documents like Aadhaar Cards, PAN Cards etc to get registered. We have also asked the MSMEs in remote locations to call us for assistance for registering.”

Talking about the current scenario, Vennam said, “The Centre, States or associations no one has the exact data of number of MSMEs. We don’t know how many MSMEs are into servoces, how many into manufacturing, how many into exports or the sectors they belong to.”

“For example the in Telangana alone there are 7000-8000 plastic units but there is no data of it,” he added.

He said the Data Bank helps to map the number of units.

“We want to tell the units that through the data no one is going to come and harass the units. It will help them avail schemes and benefits,” he said.

The micro units which do not have access to IT facilities, will also be heled to register themselves, FTAPCCI said.

The facilitation center will open for the members / non members every Friday from 1500 hours to 1700 hours.

The Registration of MSMEs will become compulsory in future for getting any type of benefits by the Government (both Central and State) and the development agencies such as NSIC, MSME-DI and SIDBI have appealed to all MSMEs to avail the opportunity and register their units for future benefits.
