MSME-DI offers various courses to promote entrepreneurship, skill development

New Delhi, Aug 19 (KNN)  MSME Development Institute is offering a variety of courses –from computer hardware to food processing and carpentry to house wiring, among others as part of its entrepreneurship cum skill development programme to individuals who have passed year eight, ten and above.

The six week courses are being held from August to November 2014, according to official data from the MSME-DI here.

Among the courses on offer are optical techniques and lens manufacturing; soft toys making, garment manufacturing, preservation of fruits and vegetables; soaps, detergents and household chemicals, mobile phone repairing, graphic design; desktop publishing, screen printing; washing machine repair, etc.

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, New Delhi, a field office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, provides a range of services for promotion and up-gradation of Small-Scale units in the jurisdiction of State of Delhi, District Faridabad of Haryana and districts Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh by providing consultancy on projects and areas of investment including technical information for selection of suitable plant and machinery, manufacturing process, products designing and diversification, plant lay out preparation etc.

The Institute assists the Small Scale Enterprises in upgrading their knowledge and improving their technical skills through structured management and skill upgradation programmes.  (KNN/ES)
