MSME-DI organizes awareness programme on digital payment in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 17 (KNN) Creating awareness on digital payments amongst the entrepreneurs and employees in the industries,  the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises - Development Institute(MSME-DI) in Bari Brahmana, Jammu, organized a programme earlier this week.

The objective of the programme was to promote the Digital payment gateway mode amongst the stakeholders in the sector. 

The program was organized at Dabur India limited located at Bari Brahmana Industrial Estate which was attended by nearly 30 participants.

The participants were motivated to go for digital payment mode and enlightened why there is need for the same. 

The Director & Assistant Director from MSME-DI, Jammu with the Manager, J&K Bank, Bari Brahmana, which is the main bank of state along with his representative was also present during the program.

The Manager, J&K Bank, being a representative explained the various modes of e- payment. He also briefed about Unified Payment Interface (UPI), e-wallet and their use. 

He cautioned about the fact that it is not recommended to go to Cyber cafe and perform any digital payment activity, rather using PC's and mobiles to do the same is safer. (KNN/RAS)
