Bangalore, May 11 (KNN) Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI) has organised a training programme on “Programming and operation of CNC lathe and machining centre,” starting here on May-14.

Mechanical Engineering graduates and diploma holders are entitled to enrol for the programme.

CNC is the short form of computer numerically controlled which refers to a process in which a computer reads machine code instructions in order to control a machine tool. A CNC lathe machine is controlled by a computer due to which the material can be cut, drilled, sanded, shaped or polished quickly.

Such modern technology is required by small enterprises to compete in the market and meet the diverse needs of the industry.

A CNC lathe machine can give a specific standard of accuracy and speed which can enable a workshop to fulfil even the difficult demands of the industries and achieve success in providing completion of jobs as per the requirements.

The benefit of CNC lathe machine is that it requires minimum human effort and so the possibilities of workers getting injured in workshops have reduced to a great extent.

Further, the computer operated lathe machines have given a great level of accuracy in production due to which more and more workshops and industries are inclining towards applying CNC lathe machines in their production.

Thus, CNC lathe machines can make the job of the SMEs considerably easier by providing both accuracy and speed.  (KNN)
