MSME Min calls bids for collecting data for Fifth All India Census

New Delhi, July 23 (KNN) MSME Ministry is in the process of up-pgrading their database of MSME Sector by conduct of the Fifth All India Census of MSME which would cover various aspects of the sector including basic statistics relating to the MSME Sector, e.g., number of units, production, share in GDP, exports, employment, closure and other related information.
 
 In this context, they are invited bids from the agencies for undertaking collection, verification, scrutiny, validation, analysis and transmission of data on selected parameters by conduction the Fifth All India Census of MSME at group of states and union territories.
 
The data collection on Fifth All India Census of MSME includes – Census of Registered Sector; and sample survey of unregistered sector.
 
The main purpose of data collection is to upgrade and strengthen of database for MSME Sector, in respect of number of units, employment, production, share in GDP, rate of growth, extent of closure and other relevant economic parameters pertaining to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, DC MSME said in a notification.
