MSME Minister Narayan Rane to present Priyadarshini Award to women entrepreneurs on March 24

New Delhi, Mar 17 (KNN) MSME Minister Narayan Rane will present the Priyadarshini Award to women entrepreneurs at international conference on 24th March, 2022 in New Delhi.

The Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs (FIWE) is organising an international conference to discuss strategic ways to emerge from the economic turbulence caused due to the covid-19 pandemic. 

Approximately 120 women entrepreneurs are expected to participate in the event from Singapore, Maldives, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The three day international conference will be inaugurated by MSME Secretary B.B.Swain and the Priyadarshini Awards ceremony will take place on the second day.

“With economies bouncing back after the pandemic, we are glad that women entrepreneurs are taking the lead and coming for the conference. Over 120 women entrepreneurs are expected to come from various countries”, said Dr Rajni Aggarwal, President, FIWE.

A report by Bain and Company reveals that almost 73 per cent of women-run enterprises in India were negatively impacted by COVID-19; while the revenue of almost 20 per cent of women entrepreneurs dwindled to zero. “However, they are more than willing to turn around the situation; the outlook of our conference is on the same lines. They are confident of quick revival,” said Aggarwal.

The event has been designed to include expert sessions on various important aspects like access to finance through innovative technologies, leveraging e-commerce and digital marketing for business growth and chat sessions with successful entrepreneurs, etc.

One-to-one business meetings, factory visits, exhibition is also a part of the three day event. (KNN Bureau)
