MSME Minister Narayan Rane to youth, be job givers than seekers

Sindhudurg, Feb 20 (KNN) Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Narayan Rane on Sunday encouraged youth to become job givers rather than job seekers. 

He was addressing the inaugural of the National Seminar cum Exhibition on “Scope for Growth and Development of MSMEs” at Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.

During the occasion Secretary, Ministry of MSME, B.B. Swain, Chairman, Coir Board D. Kuppuramu, MLA-Kankavli Nitesh Rane, and Chairman, DICCI, Dr Milind Kamble were also present.

The Minister opined that the MSME sector can become vibrant and the engine of growth for Indian economy with active participation from all stakeholders.

He also highlighted the efforts of the government in promoting the MSME sector.

The National seminar aims to spread awareness about the MSME Schemes and to motivate youth to take up entrepreneurship and strengthening the commitment towards ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.

The Union Minister met various MSME exhibitors in the exhibition, where different MSMEs are showcasing their products in different sectors like textiles, herbals, leather and coir products among others. 

During the event, certificates were distributed to Informal Micro enterprises assisted under Udyam Assist Portal, SC/ST beneficiaries under National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH).  

Charkha and Looms were also distributed to newly formed Khadi Institution, Jansmaruddhi Khadi Gramodyog Sanstha, Sindhudurg.  (KNN Bureau)
