MSME Minister Rane to chair first meeting with MSME leaders on April 28 after assuming office

New Delhi, Mar 29 (KNN) After assuming office, Narayan Rane, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will chair the first meeting with MSME associations and industry leaders on 28th April, 2022.

He took charge as the Union MSME Minister in July 2021 during the cabinet reshuffle.

The timing for the meeting is 02:30 pm to 05:30 pm at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi under the chairmanship of MSME Minister.

While taking oath as MSME Minister, Rane had assured to take steps to promote GDP growth and the creation of jobs for youth.

Since he took charge several policies and schemes have been launched to help MSMEs especially to curb the impact of covid-19.

In 2021 he introduced ‘India Export Initiative’ and ‘IndiaXports 2021 Portal’ to help exports reach its Rs 2,928,000 crore (USD 400 billion) target by the end of FY22 and further push it to Rs 7,320,000 crore (USD 1 trillion) by FY27.

He also inaugurated Rohtak Technology Centre, which is expected to train >8,400 trainees annually.

One of the major recent developments was the extension of ECLGS up to March 2023 and it’s increase in  guarantee coverage to Rs 5 lakh crore. (KNN Bureau)
